Call your Senator today and ask them to vote NO on HB 5

 
The Texas Senate will vote Tuesday or Wednesday on creating new Corporate tax breaks.

Call and Ask them to:

1.    Oppose HB5 which is the new Corporate Tax Break Program that replaces Chapter 313 which we stopped last Session.

2.    Wait until 2025 to create any new corporate tax breaks so we can determine how the $31 Billion cost of Chapter 313 is affecting our schools.

Contact Your Senator TODAY and urge him or her to vote NO on this costly bill. 

HB5:

Costs TAXPAYERS – Chapter 313 has obligated taxpayers for $31 Billion over the next two decades. HB 5 would add billions more what taxpayers must shell out in the future.

Gives tax breaks to companies to Expand their existing plants. Chapter 313 gave tax breaks to attract new companies to Texas. HB 5 also gives tax breaks for existing companies to expand their existing facilities …another massive tax break.

CONTINUES “STACKING” OF TAX GIVEAWAYS –Some companies got as many 9 separate tax breaks for proposed projects that won’t be built any time soon and some not until 2045. Why should we commit hundreds of millions in tax breaks for projects that won’t be built for 20 years?
